Forerunner 955 Solar connects to Garmin Connect but not to Garmin IQ. Says Status: Waiting

I've done all the "Turn it off and Turn it on" stuff.  The only thing left is to Remove the device and re-pair it.  I'm not keen on that as i'm afraid I'll lose all my data.  Garmin Connect seems to work fine but i've only rarely been able to connect to Garmin IQ.

    Dumb question, but have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Connect IQ?

    On a side note, I can guarantee you won't lose any data by unpairing and re-pairing your watch to your phone via Bluetooth, nor by uninstalling and reinstalling either Connect or Connect IQ. Everything is either associated with your Connect account (on Garmin's servers, "in the cloud") or is stored on the device itself.

    If you still can't get the Connect IQ app to work, there is a website for the store as well: https://apps.garmin.com/. Yeah I know it's not the same thing, but if you install an app via the website, it will transfer to your device the next time you sync via wi-fi or bluetooth (you don't need Garmin Express or any other software for your PC/Mac, and you don't need the Connect IQ app to be installed or working.) You will need a way to delete CIQ apps from your watch, if the Connect IQ phone app isn't working and you don't want to use Garmin Express on your computer - in this case, the Connect IQ Store app on your watch can delete apps.
