While in an activity (hiking) I get my preset 1 km distance alert but also a quite random notification. Can someone explain what it means and where to turn it off?
If it’s not the alert in the pic, then it sounds like a 1 km auto lap notification, not a distance alert. I assume it has 3 numbers: the top number should be the lap number, and the other two numbers are something like lap time and lap distance.
The alert in your pic is looks like a distance alert (unrelated to laps). (I think the icon is supposed to be a road)
Assuming this isn’t a bug, you should be able to turn it off in your activity settings.
- open hike activity
- hold UP for settings
- Select Hike Settings > Alerts
- If you see any distance alerts (or any other alerts you don’t want), select them and delete them
If you don’t see any alerts in the list, then it might be a bug. Other people have been reporting that they get random alerts (although it’s usually crazy stuff like a continuous 0 km alert).
