Automatic recognition

Hello everyone. My FR 955 does not automatically recognize my activity,( run, treadmill, walk, etc.). In fact, it never did since I bought it. Updated to 19.18

That doesn’t happen on these watches .

Only some health and fitness devices do that

Well, you're right. However, when I bought the watch I am sure I read that characteristic.

It marks it on the timeline as a Move IQ event, but does not automatically start an activity

On GC it has a comment at the base of IQ that reads like that also , but it only applies to certain devices unfortunately.

I did query that with Garmin some time as a pint of interest
