955 HRV data not being recorded

Today :

Yesterday:

it was 4:21 am when 955 recorded the HRV data for the first time yesterday.

I updated to 19.18 on the night of 24th May. 955 recorded correctly on the night of 25th and 26th May but failed to record on the night of 27th and 28th May as showing above.

Any help would be appreciated!

  • HRV relies on HR data, so I would check to see if HR is also missing which might suggest that its an isolated issue due to placement or posture i.e. loose band or sleeping on arm.

  • Thanks for your reply! I wear my watch that stays the same tension every day. I'll check my sleeping posture today. As  for HR data:

It seems that some data lost in a few periods but most of data were recorded today and yesterday. But nothing lost on the day before yesterday.

  • The HRV gaps are definitely greater than any of the minimal HR gaps I can see. Next, I would try determine if the source of the issue is the Connect app or the watch itself.

Does the HRV data in the watch match and have the same gaps?

  • I had a similar problem a few days ago. I have well recorded HR, also HRV and both overnight, but in HRV Status I have 4 days without information. Attached are the graphs (the graphs to show that the information is recorded). In order the daily HR of one of the days of that cut, the overlay (edited) of HR and HRV at night and the HRV Status.

Could it be possible that not training due to injury in the last few weeks has resulted in that? I was out of training for 3 weeks.

The strange thing is that when I was injured I didn't wear the watch 2 days and from those days I do have HRV Status. I really don't understand it.

  • I think it’s unlikely to be related to your training habits and more likely due to Connect sync issues, as many people are experiencing similar issues. I’ve not had any issue so far with v19.18.

    Theres’s a few different scenarios that I think it’s important to differentiate between;

    1) HRV data is present on the watch without issues but no status or data in the app.

    -  Connect/Sync Issue. Solutions include; resetting home tab via Edit Home>Reset home to encourage a status or removing and repairing the watch to encourage full data syncing.

    2) HRV data is not present or partially missing from watch and app.

    - Watch Issue. This could potentially be due to firmware or an individual circumstance such as loose fitting, lying on arm etc. Solutions include; watch restart/soft reset (hold light button until switch off), tighten strap more if loosely fitted.

Hopefully these potential solutions can fix historic and/or future HRV data, but otherwise there may be a bug that needs investigated and fixed.

  • there are same gaps in my watch.....I will restart  my watch and check it tonight!

    Thanks for your  help!

  • Hold down the light button until power off, then switch back on. Good luck, let us know how you get on tomorrow Grinning

  • Nice! Maybe restarting the watch solved this issue.

    Thanks for your reply!

  • Much better! I suspect the remaining breaks coincide with loss of HR, as also seen in your previous screenshots.

Make sure to keep the sensor clean and wear it above the wrist bone secure enough that it doesn't swivel. That might help.

  • This is exactly like mine. Since the 28th everything has been messed up, with partial readings and HRV so much higher than normal. This is the 2nd time this has happened and it took me 4-6 weeks for the numbers to go through the period after racing up then crashing back down
