Does the "Find My Phone feature - During an activity, use GPS to navigate to the point where a phone lost connection." work for you?
I've tried turning off phone BT during activity and nothing happened.
Does the "Find My Phone feature - During an activity, use GPS to navigate to the point where a phone lost connection." work for you?
I've tried turning off phone BT during activity and nothing happened.
Tested on 955 Android (Running) - does not work.
965 IOS (Running) - not working.
Maybe clever enough to detect that the connection loss is due to BT off?
It has been tried both moving about 200m away from the phone, turning off BT and restarting the phone. Nothing worked.
Same here. Checked several posts and options but could not get it to work (and does not know how it looks like).
In the evening, I finally got it to work by turning off BT (I ran there and on the same route back turned it off), but the location of the cell phone loss differed from reality by over 1km! So not great. I couldn't actually find the lost mobile that way.
Also managed to get it work during a base run by disabling the bluetooth on my phone.
This may not be the best way to test but it was very quickly detected and showed a precise spot on the map.
Is it the same "find my phone" feature in the control panel, or is there some other path to test the new feature?
This is briefly described in video Garmin Q2 2024 Software Update! youtu.be/9XbKQIR7dlY
Based on my testing, I suspect that the lost phone notifications don't activate until you have gone some minimum distance.
