Elevation or calibration problem during run

Three out of four running activities this weekend, elevation showed zero elevation change - zero up,  zero down - at end of run. Course was outdoors, rolling hills, typically 60-200 feet elevation change. This has happened intermittently over last few months, different firmware versions. Currently latest version ,18.23, all updates applied.

Any suggestions for troubleshooting this?

  • Check that the barometric sensor hole is not blocked

Looks clean, checked with eye loupe. Have cleaned per usual instructions. Not clogged. I think the watch tries to get "calibrated" altitude at start of run, and something hangs or fails. Elevation is correct, just doesn't change at all during activity. Post-run stats show 0 climb, 0 descent which is nonsense.

This has happened intermittently for at least the last three versions. Like, once every week or two. This weekend was the first time I saw so many with problems.
