music information deesn't update

HI All,

i have an issue with my forerunner 955 solar.

when i select "control my phone" as media provider, the details of the track being played do not update.

the buttons work (i.e. i can control playback and volume), the time progress works, but the title of the track doesn't update.

anyone else? any leads?

forerunner 955 solar, FW 18.23 paired with S23 ultra.

Got an email from Garmin saying that version 5.0 of the connect app fixes the issue

Just tried it, can confirm that it works again on my vivoactive 4 \o/

1) samsung s23ultra,

2) one ui 6.1, android 14

3) as mentioned in the opening post, I'm using the watch to control music from the phone

I have the same issue from today, FW 18.23, S22. It's interesting that it appeared some time after the update...

It also occurred to me that it might be related to the phone SW update I made a few days ago.

3. I use both, the control of music downloaded in the watch works without a problem, the control of music listened to from the phone has the described problem

I have the same issue too after the update. I can control music but the track title doesnt appear on my phone.

1. Samsung galaxy s23 ultra

I just tried downgrading to garmin connect 4.76 as per https://forums.garmin.com/apps-software/mobile-apps-web/f/garmin-connect-mobile-andriod/365189/v4-77---no-info-in-music-control

Can confirm that 4.76 "fixes" the issue (4.77 & 4.77.1 both do not work)

Confirmed for me too. 4.76 works, 4.77 & 4.77.1 do not. Thanks for the tip!
