I was looking at UK runners Garmin Connect activity and noticed his watch was showing Software version 19.06. If that is in fact a new software/beta release does anyone have any information on it?
I wish this version was full of fixes. The watch deserves it after those months of suffering.
Inaccurate measurement with an optical sensor. Altimeter (altitude rises at night), altitude gain during a circular run. High battery consumption. Fake naps. There is more.
...And a pace averaging instead of instant pace. It seems to me, like a Garmin melts together firmware from many models x55-x65 to maximize a profit. Some functions will be lost. but who cares. it is the…
to increase profits?
I think they mean it's cheaper for Garmin to have a common software base for multiple models. Tbh I think it's better for the customer and for Garmin, rather than the previous situation where Forerunner and Fenix software was wildly different (for example).
I think what ppl are mainly annoyed about is when they perceive that Garmin broke something that was working before, or that they never fixed a problem that always existed, but they always prioritize adding new features.
And you'll never hear about these HR issues from any of the endurance sports tech influencers.
EDIT: I just read on the 965 forum that it might be due to a bug loading female voices.
