Audio Prompts / Alerts - Volume

Hi there, Today I tried out my new Forerunner 955 for the first time during a run. I connected my Air Pods directly to the watch and listened to my music through Spotify. I noticed that the audio prompts for my pace or navigation were really quiet. I tried turning up the volume in the music (Spotify) app, but it just increased the volume of the music... Is there any way I can get these alerts/audio prompts to be louder?
Or can I control the volume of these prompts when I listening through my iPhone?
Hoping someone can help me :)

  • Maybe it’s the air pods. I use shokz , when a audioprompt comes it suppress the volume of whatever i am listening to on my Iphone. Mostly podcasts.

  • I have the same challenge on both Bose Soundssport and Bose QuietComfort ultra Earbuds -There used to be a function on Garmin Connect where the volume could be adjusted. However, on both earbuds, the music and podcast volume do get slightly suppressed, but not enough, particularly in windy conditions

  • I don't have this problem, but I use Shokz, maybe it's because of what mentioned.

  • I also do not have problems with my Jabra Elite earbuds. Music or podcast will be surpressed and voice prompts are loud and clear. Both listening directly from the watch as from my phone.

  • There is a problem which started in the last couple of weeks with the music being dipped for the audio prompts and then the music is not restored which is quite annoying i have submitted a help request for this and it is affected numerous users.

However, as your question started being this I think it should be easy to sort out. If you want to turn the volume of your audio prompts up, then go to the garmin connect app. Tap the watch icon to go to the watch, this will take you to a page which lists your device, tap the device. Scroll down to activity options and tap. then tap audio prompts, down the bottom it will say alert volume, tap on this and then select your desired volume for the audio prompts by turning your phone volume up or down as the simulated announcement is made. I am on android but I would suggest its the smae method on the i phone connect app.

  • I think this just changes the volume of the prompt from the phone.  If I'm not running with the phone and the prompt is coming through my Airpods, it's lower than the volume of the music.
