Active OHR sensor with chest strap (18.22)

I have discovered a new interesting bug. But maybe I just didn't notice it before.

When I start any workout, my Polar H10 chest strap connects and everything works as it should.

What's strange is that during this workout, the OHR sensor on the watch continuously glows green even though it's not measuring anything.

Has anyone encountered this please?

This is not a bug. This behavior has already appeared in beta versions. On the other hand, in everyday use the OHR is always active. This is a standard operating scenario for watches. Therefore, I don…

Very ingenious! Especially when I wear the watch over my jacket sleeve for a few hours, the watch doesn't recognize this fact and yet the OHR is active and draining the battery.

Take care, I don't know if it's real. I only posted it as a reference to your question. Tomorrow I I will test it with mine looking at it more closely since I use the external HRM when I mount it on the bike handlebar.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the strap via ANT, so I'll check that tomorrow as well.

I was still wondering if OHR is trying to learn from the chest strap when OHR is currently having trouble measuring correctly.

Verified, it still glows even when it has no contact with the skin.

Maybe it won't even be a joke after all that the sensor wants to learn from the strap.

Same here on my test. He continued blinked every few seconds even when the Chest HRM was in use. I never paid attention to it, I thought it was normal behavior and besides almost every time I use the Chest HRM I don't have the watch on my wrist.

I have a suspicion. Garmin was experiencing problems with ohr readings on cold days, it may be that they took advantage of users with heart straps to correct this. I don't believe in new resources.
