Just a suggestion for the next update;
Please could we see - hotkey option to switch between Optical HR sensor and Heart Rate Band.
Add function to allow removal of Naps that have been incorrectly recorded.

In my opinion the fundamental thing is to solve existing bugs and not introduce others with new useless functions, these watches cost a lot of money and they just have to work well

The problems with that form are:
- Garmin never gives feedback
- you have no clue if Garmin even reads ideas
- you have no clue…

We would very quickly and easily find out the big differences between them, and Garmin certainly doesn't want that.

Good idea

Do you know that HRM-Pro can collect running metrics without being connected to watch? It mean if you think about comparing data from OPH and HRM-Pro then you can simply remove HRM from Watch and later after activity synch HRM-Pro and see difference.
But I have never tried that before, hence might be wrong how sync from HRM-Pro works.
I guess you should save images of HR data from the watch before sync HRM-Pro

You can already record data from both the optical HR and an external HR monitor at the same time:
- disable the external HR sensor in the watch settings, so the watch doesn't connect natively
- use a 3rd-party Connect IQ data field which connects to an external HR and displays/records the data, such as ANT+ HRM Heart Rate Monitor ️ or Auxiliary Heart Rate V2
You probably wouldn't want to do this all the time, since native HR metrics would come from the optical HR (which is known to be less reliable than an external chest strap), but it would work well for occasionally comparing the two sensors.

The problems with that form are:
- Garmin never gives feedback
- you have no clue if Garmin even reads ideas
- you have no clue if anyone else has the same idea or has submitted it before
- there's no way for users to have a conversation about the idea (similar to this one)
I wish Garmin had a community ideas page like Spotify, where ideas are public, other users can vote/comment, and spotify employees give feedback. I actually submitted this as an idea but I doubt Garmin will ever do anything about it.
While I think it's a good idea to use that form, I also understand why people want to post ideas in the forums.
Yes, I know about this option. I also tested it and therefore know that there is a big difference between the optical sensor and the chest strap. If Garmin made it easier "it would shoot itself in the foot" because it would give direct evidence and people would bombard support with it.
Also would be nice to be able to do Navigation, with Ice Skating. For reasons unknown to me, there's Training option, but no Navigation option, if one does Ice Skating -> Outdoor.
No idea why there isn't navigation, feels like they needed actively to disable that, and just not have it there.
There are things like "Tour skating", that people don't just Ice Skate on some field or rink.
(And yes, did use the Ideas form, but... and posted on Mk3 forum also, but it's also affecting my 955).
