XC classic skiing auto-pausing while moving

Yesterday I was having issues with my watch constantly pausing in the middle of the activity. At first I thought maybe my wrist bending was accidentally pushing the button but then I pressed start and it would pause immediately after while I was looking at the watch and no button was pushed.

The same thing happened to me. Automatically pauses regardless of auto pause setting. Almost as annoying as the ridiculously broken lap announcement voice.

Check from sport settings is autopause on or off - set off.

Also disable 3D speed and distance.

Updated my 955 software a few days ago, and I just had the same happen to me; every uphill climb, the watch would pause/stop repeatedly. Checking the stats later, my activity tracked 700 feet downhill, but only 350 feet uphill climb (I started and stopped at the same spot). Also robbed me of ~20 minutes and 300 calories burned.

I've got Autopause set to 'Off', and will turn off the 3D speed/distance if need be. Still, that's a pretty obnoxious bug - I specifically got the 955 because my previous 245 did a poor job tracking 'effort' on winter sports.

I have this problem to on my 955, brother and spouse have this problem on 265/255 aswell.
Autopause set to off, super anoying upphill..
We set the autopause to custom "1.65kph" and its better than off/on.

This happened to me accidentally. I had to record Birken 2024 (Norway) ski race as a run and change it later. I miss some data about speed and record not a full distance. That was extremelly annoying. The whole ski season I had a nice experience, and exactly on the race day got trouble.

I am waiting for solution or at least roll back to previous working functionality.

I had the exact same issue with auto pause, as did my brother. I don't know why this solution works, but it solved the problem for both of us.
