Does the Forerunner have a windsurf or kitesurf mode natively, like the Fenix 7 does?

I want to do windsurfing with Forerunner 955, and I was wondering if there is a specific mode for it as it has its own specific features like speed in knots, speed in 10s, nautical mile, etc.
I know that this mode is available on the Fenix 7 by default.
I am on version 17.26 (the latest one to date).

  • The Fenix models are waterproof to 100m, while the Forerunner is rated at 50m. While swimming is ok, Garmin will not include a native surf/windsurf/kite app as a crash or deep pummeling could cause water damage.

  • No, unfortunately. The waterproof rating is just an excuse from Garmin. Forerunner also don't have Sail mode like Fenix/Epix.

  • I really doubt this is the reason. The two watches are for different market segments. The Forerunner line was originally only supposed to be for runners! All the extra activity types are good, especially for triathlon, but I wouldn't expect any Forerunner to compete with the Fenix range for these types of outdoor activities
