Backlight bug?

Firmware: 17.26

Hello,

I am a new oner of a Forerunner 955.

I precise that I deactivated all backlight seetings (key, touch, alert, gesture).

After recording a swimming activity and set my auto-evaluation, the backlight turns on when the summary screen starts scrolling.

The backlight also turns on when the morning report is displayed.

Anyone has already faced this kind of behavior?

There are three modes: During activity, General Use and Sleep

Your first example would be During activity and your second During sleep. So you need to also disable backlight for theese modes in display settings, in case you have only disabled it for General use.

Yes all settings in all modes are deactivated.

The backlight also turns on after recording a running activity when the summary screens start scrolling.

Getting Garmin to fix this is going to be really difficult. Some of it, is strangely, by design.

18.15b has fixed this instance of the backlight turning on erroneously for me.
