I have noticed in the last two weight training records that the Forerunner suddenly records extremely high distances (20,000km) during weight training.
This has only been happening since mid-January. Anyone else with this problem?

All,
This has been resolved on software version 19.18. Please update your device and let us know if it happens again!
Hi Garmin-Sierra,
Thank you for getting back to me, you can of course contact me although the activities have been deleted; the excessive milage was sending other apps such as Clipboard out of control…
I have not seen this before. May I have permission to view your Connect account and reach out via email so I can look into this further?
Hi Garmin-Sierra,
sure you have the permission to view my Connect account and contact me via email.

Yep, I have had a similar issue. Only noticed it after getting an email from intervals.icu when the workout was pushed and it flagged a load of new records.
it appears to be recording speed which is then getting a distance calculated in TrainingPeaks and intervals.icu
Just checked the total distance report on Garmin Connect and both of my last two strength workouts have a distance of 21474.84km. One was 28 minutes in duration and the other 48 minutes
Did you happen to have any previously paired machines (like a Smart Trainer) in Bluetooth range during your Strength activity?
May I have permission to view these activities and reach you via email as well?

When I did record them I would have been close enough to a Kickr Bike, I know it was not being used but the ForeRunner was notified it was connected. Next time I will turn off auto connect and see if it helps.
I experienced something similar and just posted about it under a Connect thread: https://forums.garmin.com/apps-software/mobile-apps-web/f/garmin-connect-web/359065/progress-report-recording-thousands-of-miles-from-strength-training/1726915#1726915
I uploaded supporting screenshots there. After reading this thread, my watch was also connected to my Tacx Neo 2T smart trainer, which is co-located in my basement. Disconnecting / reconnecting auto connect every time is not an ideal solution ... anything else?
Any way to correct these workouts or am I going to have to delete them? FWIW, no distance was reported to Strava -- the absurd mileage only shows up in Connect.
I have the samee issue since some Days, before never had this. All last weiight workouts my GAmrin Epix Gen2 reports 21474.84 km to Connect. And load the wrong datas up to Strava and Training Peaks, what is really bad, because my maiin Sport is cycling. Do you find a solution for this?
We have a fix in an upcoming software update. I will update this thread when it's available!
