Inline Skating profil in Garmin Connect

Hello!

Today I tried a relatively new, Inline skating profile.

On my watch, I normally selected the inline skater icon, selected outdoor and went skating.

Then, in Strava the workout saved correctly as Inline skating (before the update it had to be done manually).

In Garmin Connect, the activity is named correctly as Inline Skating, but there is an "Other" icon next to it.

Do you also have this or is it somehow related to the fact that in the past I had the Inline Skating profile actually as "Other".

Garmin didn't even make Inline skating a separate sport, so it can't be seen separately in the statistics, but only together with "Others" activities.

For Garmin to come out with Inline Skating after all this time, I would guess they'll do it properly. I don't understand that I can see stats for e.g. running, biking, walking, but not Inline skating.

So it's not so bad with inline skating. On Web Connect you can select Reports - Progress Summary... select Inline Skating and you can access summary statistics.

However, it doesn't solve the fact that Inline Skating is in the "Other" summary and thus introduces confusion to my stats, because "Other" has for example Calisthenics (I created and use with GPS) which I am doing and so I have time totals and distance along with Inline Skating.

For what I know, the same is true with default gear. Adding it to Other will add your skates to Inline Skating as well as to your Calisthenics. Even as part of Other, a distinction is made in Endurance Score where it'll show you how much % of Inline Skating influences your score.

It'd be a nice touch to have that Skating icon displayed in the news feed for connections to see it's been added. And also in the 'Things I Do' section of the profile.
