How to get to a position in an Audiobook

I was listening to an audiobook (.m4b file Audible audiobook converted with openAudible) during a run today on my 955 Solar with firmware version 17.26. I was around 25ish hours into a 51 hour audiobook and there was an interlude section that I wanted to skip. When pressing the "30 forward" button, there was a reset to the beginning of the audiobook.

Is there any way to jump forward to a certain point, or at least fast forward to it so I can get to where I was? The 30 forward option still resets it to the beginning and is no help.

Sadly I don't think that is possible. I would start the audiobook on the watch, and just let it play through a bluetooth headset in the background until you are caught back up.
Not ideal at all, but probably the only way to get back.

Yeah this is a pain. Specially when the book is 1 file. Garmin should make use cases for it features to see if it is actually usable.
