Last update 17.26 is very buggy

The last update brought some very nice features, but lots of bugs.

The watch freezes almost every morning, and if not in the morning, it freezes at any time of the day, but most often in the morning.

Weather is not working correctly, most of the time it shows an exclamation mark with no data.

Battery draining - this day it dropped from 30% to 12% in 5 hours.

The watch does not synchronize regularly (when I force synchronization in Garmin Connect after a long time, it takes quite a long time, as if it was transferring data for a whole day), it also shows older notifications, but when I want to see them, they are no longer in the list.

And all this is accompanied by occasional UI slowdown.

  • Strange, works perfect for me. Charged today first time in seven days with daily running (three runs inside though, so no GPS on those runs). Everything works really good overall.

  • Zero issues here, no freeze, very smooth UI, no battery drain, sync work perfectly

  • Same issues for me... Its been going on for over a week now.
UI freezes daily at random times, mostly at night/during sleep mode. It starts working only if I restart the watch but its highly annoying to do this daily and this way u sometimes lose some heart rate data.
Had also a few nights without any sleep data even though I had the watch on and heart rate measured just fine. The battery also drains 10-40% sometimes during night.

  • Looks like incoming notification is a trigger for freeze. It always happens to me that I feel a vibration from a notification, but the watch is frozen and I can't do anything, or I can, but extremely slowly.

  • I too have had some nights with no sleep data, no HRV or this night for 2 hours no sleep and it calculates that I slept 2 hours less.

  • Mine watch got frozen this night, turned it off by long-pressing Light button this morning and it won't turn on back after that.

Since nothing unusual and potentially damaging (exposing to water, hitting, etc) happened, I guess, the new firmware is the reason.

Hope to see an answer from Garmin reps

  • me too…UI freezes daily at random times,especially when running,it's annoying…

  • I had a freeze happen on my 955 Solar yesterday. I set a countdown timer. When it finished, the vibrate alarm could not be cancelled for 30 seconds or so. It just vibrated constantly while the watch was unresponsive to any button presses or screen touches. Firmware 17.26

  • a frequent cause of failure is an unofficial watch face

  • I had the default watch face selected and only changed the color on that so it shouldn't be that, so at least I uninstalled the other watch faces. Then I went through the watch settings, set different values everywhere and then set the values back again. Since there was a problem with loading the weather and the exclamation mark icon kept appearing, I tried to get the current position from the GPS via the weather settings - since then the weather has been working. Then I started run activity in case there was a problem with some recorded activity file - if the files are being overwritten, that might solve the problem. It seems that everything is working as it should again, so I restarted the watch and I have no problem at the moment. I just don't know what fixed it.
