Forerunner 955 screen going black/freezing

I see there was a thread for this issue but it’s been locked. 

I’ve had my Forerunner 955 Solar since July 2022 and just over the last two weeks I’ve had an issue with the screen going black/freezing during runs.  Never had any issues before that. 

I had downloaded a third party Halloween watch face so I thought that might be the issue but I deleted that and it still froze yesterday. 

I‘m running a marathon in 3 weeks so this timing couldn’t be worse.  Please advise.

    Did you end up with a resolution for this? Mine has done this day one straight out of the box.

    Nope, never got a response.  However, after my post I haven’t had the same issue since.  I really think the third party watch face was messing with things. But, that still doesn’t explain why the screen went black shortly after I deleted the watch face. Maybe the watch needed to sync? In any event, if you’ve been having this issue since day one I would exchange if possible. Way too expensive of a watch to be having issues.
