Forunner 955 Solar software update

I updated my watch a week ago. The watch's heart rate monitor, step counter and swimming has not been working since. I'm getting new software updates, but it still doesn't work. I've done everything that's suggested I do with the watch but it doesn't help. This is probably the software, the sensor on the back of the watch is not showing any sign of life. This has happened once before and what I described above start working right with a new software update. Is anyone experiencing this?

    I have the exact same problem.  Wrist heart rate doesn’t work anymore.  I’ve owned the watch for a month.  Everything quit working when I updated to the latest 16.17 software.  Something additional that happens with mine is that my swims now don’t record distance.

    Every day you get update notifications? This sounds like something would be interested in.

    Every time I plug in the charger and unplug the charger I get install software notifications

    It's a problem that others have reported and Garmin are investigating.

    I installed the newest software update yesterday and now the watch is running as before. I got probably 8 updates those ten days that the watch not working properly.

    I'm having an on-going story of bad software updates. My watch suggested this morning that I updated it and I did. A mistake. Now the watch's heart rate monitor is not working. Hopefully I'll get a sensor software update soon. I had to wait for 10 days last time.This is inexcusable. When I'll get a proper update I'll turn down the auto-update in settings!

    2. Включите часы Garmin, удалите переключатель RemoteSW
    3. Синхронизируйте часы через Garmin Express.

    7. Set the watch interface to English.

    In this state, you can wait for firmware errors to be corrected for sensors without CIQ with a working heart rate monitor.

    It looks like my recommended steps from THIS thread have not worked for most users. If your sensors have stopped working in addition to this "Update Available" pop up message, you will need to reach out to your local Product Support center directly:
