HRV GRAPH GLITCH/BUG

Hello,

My nightly HRV graph doesn't show detailed metrics. The graph line isn't continuous and there are long periods during the night when there seem to be no measurements. This has been going on for three weeks.

Nevertheless my watch gives me the HRV average for the night. Is it accurate?

I'm using the Forerunner 955 solar.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you,

N

  • To me that looks like the watch is worn to loose during the night, making HR reading intermittent.

  • My heart rate reading is OK. No problem there...

  • That's different. Even if there are intermittent problems with reading your pulse, the HR algorithm can smooth them out and interpolate (the whole idea of a "heart rate" means estimating the number of beats during some interval). But getting HRV means the watch has to be able to sense almost every heart beat so that it can measure the variation in the time between them. (That's also why you don't get stress values when you walk without starting an activity and your arm is moving.)
