Deactivate all unnecessary beeps and notifications for a race

I'm a newb and have just used the 955 once for an interval training. While running the interval, there was a beep, and something showed up on the screen. It wasn't the auto lap notification (every kilometer) but somewhere in between, and I could be wrong but I believe it was about a new personal record. I was not wearing my smartphone so it certainly wasn't a "smart notification".

So my question for the upcoming race is, how can I set up the 955 in a way that I can be sure none of those distracting messages or beeps are coming up?

Just to be sure, I deactivated smart notifications during activities already.

Also, the system alarms for barometer, fitness, abnormal HF, and telephone are off.

Is there any other setting to take care of?

Based on your post I'm guessing it was the performance condition notification, which is a whole number between -20 and +20 that typically shows up about 6 minutes into a running or cycling activity…

You can turn it off as follows: hold UP for settings > select System > set Performance Condition to Off

I have been hearing a sound in my 955 during runs and I also can't identify the source. It's not performance condition. I look at the screen and see nothing. Maybe a segment alert.

Thank you very much! Pretty sure this is it. 6 minutes sounds about right as it would be between kilometers one on two.
