Latest Watch update broke the ability to sync Workouts with the watch

In the past, I was able to use the Garmin Connect app,  go to More | Training & Planning | Workouts.  I could create workouts, save the workouts and then click the icon to send the workout to my watch.  I could see these workouts under Activities such as Run, Trail Run, and Treadmill.

This was working great, until the most recent version of the watch software was pushed to the watch.

Now, my workouts only show up under Run.

If I go to Trail Run or Treadmill, and select Training | Workouts I only have two options.  One is "Daily Suggestions" and the other says "Build in Garmin Connect".

The problem is even if I build a Workout in Garmin Connect it's still not getting pushed back to Trail Run or Treadmill;  it's only getting pushed to Run.

Happy to work with anyone in dev to get this sorted out.

Thank you!

  • I’m having the same problem. I created a new workout while I was warming up on a bike. I wanted to do 3 one mile intervals with 200m jogs in between. But when I went to start the workout under Treadmill, I didn’t see any of my programmed workouts (even ones I created before and had been running for months). All the workouts show up under Run, though. This is a big problem.

  • Thanks for solving the mystery of the disappearing workout for me.

Pretty short sighted on the Garmin front to re-write the workouts/training module and not link the other activity categories.

Treadmill is my issue.  Forerunner 255
