Direct routing sticks to roads

Hello,

I am trying to configure a simple screen for open water swimming towards a saved GPS point. I only want to see the direction (in straight line) and distance to the destination.
So I chose « direct routing » as « activity » in the navigation settings. However, the watch keeps on computing an out-of-water, on-road, itinerary instead…

I saw many people having the opposite problem (only straight lines), but not the same as me. Maybe I could obtain the same feature using compas, but I could not figure out how…

It looks like I solved my problem by changing the routing settings of the Navigation activity to Direct routing.
It seems like a bug to me: the specific routing settings of activity Open water swimming appears to be overridden by the Navigation settings.
