Training Marathon

I'm following the daily recommendations for a marathon on December 3rd, and this week I've done: Monday: Rest Tuesday: 45' Sprint 7x10" Wednesday: 40' Thursday: 75' Friday: 30', it was time to rest Saturday: 34' Sunday: 43' Vo²max. It seems to me little training... when I am at an optimal load level, good sleep score(82), low stress... as you see?

  • Likewise I train for 10km in 40 minutes. My training schedule was ridiculously low. I do not trust the suggestions any more. I have to run in two weeks and my race prediction now is 47 minutes. ????? I never had any training that came close to the 4 minutes/km pace.

  • I am using Garmin Coach now for half a marathon, and it is pushing me much more. I also stopped with the automatic update of LTHR. I run a test every now and then, and put in the results manually.More stable and now training actually makes sense :-) How to deal with a marathon training I do not know, because Garmin Coach plans are only available for half a marathon max.
