Cycling VO2 max issues for anyone else?

Hi All,

So, I know from reading DCR and other sources that you need to do really intense workouts to get an updated V02 max score, in addition to having a power meter etc. I have been following a TrainerRoad plan and have been getting stronger, and Garmin has even updated my FTP from auto detection, but my V02 max hasn’t budged in months. It’s showing 40 right now when historically it was always (first with a 935) higher than my running score (49). That’s quite the discrepancy from past data, so figured I would bring it here.

  • Hi, I am on 955 latest release FW and I do see "regular" VO2 for cycling  updates (more then I see FTP). But its slow, as expected.

Hint in the training widget (Traingszustand in german) in vo2max submenu on the watch you also see minor changes in last 4 weeks in the graph while in Connect you only see rounded full integer changes. So I had long times earlierthis year with flat 50 in connect as it moved up and down between 49,5 and 50,5 on the watch.
