Audio Prompts have stopped working

Hi - hoping someone can help!

A few days ago my 955 stopped giving me audio prompts via headphones while listening to music. To now it's always given me an alert for each auto lap and the time it took. It still shows them on the watch, I just don't get the audio notification. I've not deliberately changed anything for this to happen, it just stopped.

Seems to not work regardless of which mode I use (I've tested run, train run, treadmill).

I've tried a couple of obvious things - everything is turned on in Audio Prompts under the device on Garmin Connect, same on the watch itself, I've tried restarting both my phone and the watch. I don't think it coincided with any updates (altho it might have happened in background).

Can anyone help?

Maybe the text-to-speech software on your smartphone has been updated. That's often the cause for such behaviour. Deactivate and re-setup the audio prompts and it should be working again.

Same issue here with the 255S. I thought maybe this had to do with me newly linking my Spotify account to the watch, but the timing of the issue for me is the same as yours

For what it's worth, mine resolved itself with the most recent Android update (Samsung s21) - not sure if it was the actual update or just the update resetting some setting that had gone awry.

My prompts stopped working after the last update. Hope they fix it in FW16
