Spikes in stroke rate of rowing activities after 15.19

After the 15.19 update, it seems like the stroke rate for rowing activities broke. There are frequent high values close to 150 strokes per minute. The activity shown below was actually at 20 strokes per minute.

In case someone at Garmin is looking at this, it would also be of great help, if the pace scaling would be adjusted to meaningful values. These could be in an interval of 4:00 to 0:30 (minutes:seconds per 500m). What is currently being shown is totally useless because of a max at 30:30 (possibly while drifting or pausing). All relevant and interesting data points get drawn as an almost horizontal line.

    So it's been quite a while since there's supposed to be a fix available... but since I haven't seen it mentioned in any of the beta release announcements (at least not for the fenix 6), it seems like it's got very little chance of even making the next public release.

    Unless it's just not a documented fix?

    Could we get an idea about whether it should be fixed in the next firmware update, or if it has to wait for another release cycle?

    I couldn't wait to hear back on whether this was possibly fixed but not mentioned in the beta release notes... seems it's not yet fixed, at least in the 26.82 beta firmware for the Fenix 6X, released 4 days ago.

    Looks like we'll be living with this bug for a while more now.

    Seens to me that it's fixed in the last FR955  Beta 17 release! 

    The bad GPS tracking on SUP/Kayak activities seens also finally fixed after more than one year!

    This beta brought a lot of changes and improvements not included in the description log.

    Can confirm this to be finally fixed for rowing as well (beta 17.21 on FR 255). Even the small peaks that were already there in v 14 are now gone.

    I’m experiencing this same issue with SUP and it’s affecting my average stroke rate, can you please also reach out to me to fix this issue? Location is Macau.

    This has been fixed in the 17.24 software release for x55 and x65 series Forerunners. If you are still seeing spikes in stroke rate for Rowing or Open Water Swim activities, please either start a new thread or contact Product Support for the most immediate assistance.
