Do you think that Garmin will bring the Hill Score and the Endurance Score to FR955? It should probably arrive on 965 because it is a "newish" watch...by latest Garmin release pace:)
I would appreciate it in my hilly area.

I would appreciate it in my hilly area.
I am more interested in the new sport profiles, especially Footbal and Inline skating. I hope these will be ported to 955.
Yes, I would argue that the 955 is still very new, in fact it's newer than the Fenix 7. Features that the 955 launched with were actually backported to the F7 at a later date. Both endurance and hill scores…
thanks for sharing this. finger crossed that the map/data screen features will both make it to the 955.
in a broader perspective, my watch is finally stable and doing what i bought it to do. any new features are nice things to have, yet i don't expect them based on what i purchased the watch for. these watches, like smart phones, are reaching a level of maturity such that at least for me personally, i'm not sure what the next 'gotta have it" feature that will make me want to upgrade.
i kept my 935 for 4+ years even though i really wanted the maps that came with the 945. i bought the 945LTE and would still have it right now if it weren't for a friend who i could sell it to and apply those funds to the 955 Solar. the 955 with it's solar, touch screen, and multi band GPS seem to have finally checked all of the boxes i can foresee wanting. i was for a while, tempted to consider the 965, but upon further reflection, i realized, i couldn't justify the upgrade cost even if i could sell my 955 at a decent price.
i don't know what Garmin will think of next, but the only thing i can think of that will tempt me in the next few years will be a bigger screen (less bezel even less than the 965) and slimmer profile. the 965 has these, but it's going to have to be more dramatic for me to take the plunge. we'll see what the 975 looks like in 1-2 years.
Ice skating is technically high speed water sport, but hopefully they still bring it to 955
So was 15.19 the Q2 public release? Does this mean we might see some of the new stuff in the next beta?
It was both, I believe. First it was a public beta, and then it became production. With the same version number, just without the β part.
It's in the latest beta (or release candidate), so I'm sure it is coming to the 955
Yes, I saw DC Rainmakers post about it in the same search result that brought me here after I posted. I only need to get up to speed with everything that was in that update now.
