And your question is.....?
I have one : How much does it 'drain'? It might be inevitable to keep sensors active on background because you want to pick up the activity later. I do not know if Garmin means resuming within a limited (short) time (like eating/drinking/talking to someone or having a lunch), of if they mean you can postpone for longer periods. The latter it is of course a problem for your battery.
If I stop moving garmin already pause the activity for a quick stop.
I expect that if I stop the activity telling "I will resume it later" every sensor will be turned off and so is the battery drain, or why I need to manually stop and resume the activity if the smartwatch altready pause it when I'm not moveing?
I wanna use this feature for a very long pause but without create two or more activities. Like (stupid example) if I go to the supermarket with my bike or anything else.
