Major bug related to map previews reported during beta remains in public release of 15.19

The bug is that panning (both touch and non-touch) doesn't work when previewing courses, round trip courses, routes to POI etc.

Described here: https://forums.garmin.com/beta-program/forerunner-955-series/public-beta-bug-reports/i/forerunner-955-series-bug-reports---beta-15-xx/15-19-panning-doesn-t-work-in-map-preview-when-creating-round-trip-course

Also, panning doesn't work when reviewing the maps of an activity after it's recorded.

This is core functionality. No reason to have a lot of the navigation features, if you can't preview the courses, zoom in and pan around to check it out beforehand, especially those routes the watch creates automatically.

Also some minor, but mostly just annoying issues related to navigation is not fixed:

  • When previewing a saved course (for example uploaded to garmin connect) I can pan/etc fine in the map preview...

Creating a round course on the watch itself it doesn't work with touch, but the buttons do work for me. For panning you need to keep the button pressed though (a single click will have no visible effect, when keeping it pressed you can see it will pan). After keeping it pressed it seems a single click is also 'recalibrated' to more coarse movement so after that you can pan around using single clicks as well.

  • per me lo stesso.

Sure, with touch would  will be better

  • Yeah, agreed... Seems inconsistent UI wise, but never used it myself so luckily not much of an issue for myself
