Disable automatic sleep detection?

Hello

Is it possible to disable the automatic sleep detection?
It's just extremely annoying that the watch thinks I fell asleep at 8pm when I'm lying on the couch watching TV and my heart rate goes down to 53.

This messes up all my stats and I have to manually change the sleep time the next morning, which I don't feel like doing every time.
I just want to decide for myself when I go to bed and wake up and just start and stop the whole thing from the clock.

Is there a way to do this?

  • there is no way. the biggest problem is that it detects afternoon naps and in this case eliminates the previous night's sleep. so he thinks he's been doing 2 3 hours messing up the training readiness

    • Everything regarding sleep analysis is broken anyway. I tried to sleep on my back last night but after 1-2h I gave up. I was awake during that time but the watch thinks I had a nice sleep. Same this morning, I was awake one hour before the alarm and the watch shows this as quiet sleep. It's just completely useless and overrated feature.
  • I second that. Completely broken and useless. Lots of functions are barely working. The 955 and the 255 are easily the most disappointing watches Garmin has ever launched. And they know it too. Were it not for the music function, I would be back using my old, stable FR 620!
