15.17 beta out

my usual PSA...

Changes since version 15.15

  • Fixes an issue where the date could be missing from a watch face with a white background.
  • Updates sleep schedules to display the range of days for each night of sleep that spans midnight to reduce confusion.
  • Adds support for viewing climbs from the race page for a cycling event with an associated course.
  • Adds additional altimeter calibration options after selecting an activity when auto calibration is off.
  • Fixes an issue that could cause the device to crash when starting navigation from an activity that did not previously have a map page configured.
  • Fixes an issue where the device would not vibrate for an incoming call received during an activity.
  • Fixes an issue where some CIQ watch faces could cause the device to crash.
  • Fixes other minor issues.

haven't installed it yet myself, but been overall pleased with 15.15 as the bugs above haven't affected me thus far.

  • good point. i'm sure it happened in the background via my GC mobile app on my phone, especially since i typically leave Wifi off.

at least for me (i don't do open water swimming -- at least not in years), the watch is in a good state for my uses. in fact, i've come around to realizing that the Solar specs seem very realistic (i'm going to post on this soon)

  • You have to completely exit the menus,

I disagree. 15.19. Went back one step and then again into the update menu and it offered to update to 15.19.

  • this is the same for me. updating to 15.19 as i type this.

  • Yeah. Remembered that it worked like that and one step is enough, but wasn't 100% sure so needed to wait next update to get my proof that it should be enough.

Would be kind of weird it that would be somehow related to update or sometimes works and sometimes not, but I can next time that one step doesn't work try exiting more steps (if I remember, most likely I don't, and don't even remember to report it:)

  • Yes, that's what worked for me this time. Down one level then back up to Software Update.
