Pulse Ox randomly stops working

Since about the 5.12 Firmware version with Pulse Ox still set to All Day, it's not able to measure for many hours. Before this, usually most hours had a reading. Now most of the day and even the night I get 0 readings, regardless if I'm active or sitting in bed doing nothing. Not even manual readings work sometimes, it just gives an error. After a restart it worked, but the first issue still persists. 

Anyone else notice this whit All Day PulseOx?

  • I've recorded a video of this issue happening. Would like to have some help with this from Garmin X. (Shakiness is from camera, not arm)

  • Try to wipe back of the watch with soft moist cloth. Happened to me too. Also adjust tightness of the watch strap.

  • Thanks for the response. I've cleaned the watch and I use an elastic watch band, so tightness isn't an issue. Just odd that it works after a restart without doing anything else to it. I've noticed that after I finish my morning walk, it stops working for the rest of the day. Might try doing a full reset. Thanks Garmin.

  • Still happening with the latest firmware (15.15). Doing a factory reset. I'll see if it works afterwards.

  • I have exactly the same issue.

  • Did a full a reset, issue persists. Didn't install anything from ConnectIQ either. PulseOX readings always seem to stop at around 5 to 7 AM. Again, after a restart, it works.

     

    Hope that Garmin sees this issue. Is this a bug or is my watch malfunctioning?

  • Is it stopping at a certain time for you too?

  • This happened to me too. When I switched to All Day, it rarely took recordings -- most of the day wouldn't have a single measurement until I manually took one. Same behavior when I switched to Sleep Only.

  • After Beta 15.17-19 it's working fine again.
