Navigation bugs

Hi,

There are a lot of bugs in navigation.

1. When i setting up CAR mode, the watch makes only directional navigation.

2. When i want to do navigate a saved location i always getting an error message.

3. The navigation to coordinate is not working.

4. When i zooming the map sometimes i get only white screen.

  • What firmware version are you using?

  • 1. Do you mean Automobile? The included TopoActive map does not support automobile routing, so you'll just get a straight line. You'll need to add a third party routable map (such as an OSM) to use this feature.

    2. This is a bug that will be addressed in the upcoming firmware update (currently in beta).

    3. Don't know about this one, but may have to do with bugs associated with #2.

    4. Do you have the correct map for your location (North America, Europe, Asia, etc)? If you don't, or you are in a location with few features (i.e. roads or trails), then there will be nothing to show on the map when zooming in extremely close.

  • 1. Yes, automobile. Ok i understund, the Hungarian manual is not to helpful.

    2. Yes, i am trying now the beta version (15.12) and its looks like working now.

    3. Yes, its working in the beta version.

    4. It has since been revealed when i am zooming in or out the map is dropping me to the sea, to the left of africa. Its happend with me some zoom rate (300m, 800m, 12km).

  • another problem for me while browsing is that with the mountain bike activity by double tapping on the map nothing happens, I can't zoom. I have to use the physical keys. Very annoying.

  • That’s just the way it is, at least on the Forerunner series. I actual like the way it works: tapping on the map relocates the crosshairs to which the map will recenter when zooming with button pushes.

I know double tapping on a fenix or epix zooms in, and the feature is often requested for the 955, so it may come via a future update (though it is not included in 15.xx).
