beta 15.12 release candidate

FYI:

This update, version 15.12, is a Release Candidate. "Release Candidate" means that this exact software version is planned to “Go Live” as a public update as long as no critical issues are observed. All copies of version 15.12 will be identical, so there are no differences in functionality whether you install version 15.12 as a Public Release Candidate or wait for the update to be a Live public update.

As a member of the Public Beta program, this update will be automatically delivered to your watch through GCM. Please note that GCM will check for an available update once every 24 hours, and after that it may take several hours for the update to finish transferring and be available on your watch to install.

Changes since version 15.11

  • Fixes an issue where keys did not cause a vibration when the setting was enabled.
  • Fixes an issue that could cause off course warnings to be too sensitive.
  • Improves HRV graphs to better match what is shown in Garmin Connect.
  • Adds support for an acute load watch face data field.
  • Fixes an issue where the performance condition notification could sound an alert tone when alert tones are disabled.
  • Fixes an issue with today’s intensity minutes value getting cut off on the intensity minute page.
  • Fixes other minor issues.

    OK jmto, maybe I was little bit too expressive, sorry. But the explanation is there. The problem is, that the behavior of the watch does not correspond with yours and DC rainmaker's description, no matter how much the Garmin idea of dynamically adding / removing of the beta sign makes sense or not. But really, let's stop arguing, if some letter should be in the about box or not, eventually it is not much important (at least for me).

    Today, I got this notification in Connect (web version):

    So I expect another blind update after connecting the watch to Garmin Express. I have not changed any configuration since yesterday, when I could not see such notification.

    Is the error fixed in the 15th firmware that emojis cannot be displayed?
    With me with the firmware 14.20 WhatsApp only? displayed instead of emojis.

    Starting a weight lift workout "free workout" just ends up in "editing the last data" which is not even yet recorded

    Emojis were fixed by a font download that happened in the background, back in the 14.xx firmwares.

    (Essentially it needs to download an emoji font. If you don't allow the watch to sync with a phone regularly, it may not have picked it up.)

    Emojis worked correctly approximately a day after installing the version which disabled them.

    Great progress with this update. The watch now works great. I'm glad I didn't sell them.

    Here are a few flies:

    The HR graphic does not show the position for the activity.

    Keyboard shortcuts overlap  The keyboard shortcut - light+back will first bring up the ligt shortcut.

    Disabling the lap (back) button disables the lap hotkey. So why is there an option to set it? Absurdly

    I just checked for updates again, he also downloaded something, but nothing was there.
    But now I still don't see any emojis. Only the sun emoji is displayed.
    Everyone else always just as?
