Tomorrow Suggested Workout it's not the same on the next day?

I like the Suggested Workout feature and for the past few days I've been reviewing the Suggested Workout for Tomorrow. I was surprised to see that what suggests for Tomorrow is not the same Workout that show me the night before. For example, last night suggested that I ride on my bike at THRESHOLD for today, but this morning when I started, suggest me to do BASE. It should be noted that between the time I saw it last night and today I did not do any activity, I slept at 98% and there was nothing I did to change it. Are these changes normal or this are just suggestions without any real logic? Thank you so much.

  • yes, that is true. we can see weekly 'daily suggested workout' schedule. but it is changed and flexible rather than fixed. if you pass today suggested workout, forerunner change tomorrow's suggested. if you change setting <long distance day of week>, forerunner immediately change next 7 days suggesteed workout.

  • Thank you. Yes, this sounds logic, if I pass today suggested, tomorrow I receive a new suggestion, but it's not the case. I did the today suggested workout, and I reviewed in the night the tomorrow suggested, but on the morning it's not the same and should be, because nothing was changed from 9PM until 5AM...

  • I also wish there was a way to have a fixed suggested workout instead of this flexible approach.  I had an easy run yesterday, but it was pretty hot so my HR was high.

    Now, instead of sprints, I'm suggested a rest day even though I really didn't work hard yesterday.

  • I think that this is already covered with the Training Plans on Connect. There you have a complete and fixed training plans depending on your focus/objetive. Maybe this is the soltuion for your wish. I already did and finished somes of cycling and are really good, I like them.

  • While the watch will provide you with the suggested workout for today you can actually look at the suggested workouts for the upcoming 7 days and pick any of them. 

    If it suggests an easy run but you’re hankering for some speed work or a tempo run then just look ahead at the upcoming workouts and pick one of them. 

  • Yeah, I'm aware of that function.  But that sprint workout is gone now, nowhere to be seen in the next week.  I could still make my own, but I like the idea of workouts being built for me.

  • I suspect it regenerates the suggested workouts at Morning Report time based on your Training Readiness data and recent activity levels.
