Beta 15.09

Now available to download…

  • Thanks derek87. Yeah I did all this, I just get the "No updates available" notice after it checks for updates on the watch.

On my connect.garmin.com account I'm enrolled in the beta but it doesn't show that there's a download available.

  • sorry my simple suggestions weren't helpful. i think there is another thread on the beta forum where some folks were interacting with Garmin who had to "correctly configure" a few accounts for the beta to come through. you may want to look there.

  • I didn't have uptades available on the watch also, but I was able to install uptade by garmin connect on the phone.

  • Did a track training yesterday. Made a Structured Workout with FS (as I always do).

Workouts worked fine and got a LTH update. So it seems to be working again. Grinning

    Thumbsup tone1

  • Despite all my complaining and annoyance, this update finally seems to have lifted the watch into the 'this is what I hoped for' regions...

Surely took a while, but hey. Better late then never ;)

  • If they don't solve the problem of afternoon naps, it's useless for training readiness. If I rest in the afternoon, it records it as sleep and overwrites the previous night's sleep. The only solution I've found is not to wear the watch during the afternoon naps. Does it not give you this problem? or do you never rest in the afternoon?

  • Is it possible to disable future updates after this beta will become official? If it will work fine, I don't want to have other FW upgrades

  • You can disable automatic watch updates but if you synchronize through your PC the update will be downloaded automatically. Once you unplug your watch the update will be offered to you, you postpone it and Connect device to PC Open Garmin drive Appear in Computer, My Computer, or This PC if using Windows Appear on Desktop if using Mac Open the .system folder Locate and delete the GUPDATE.GCD file Do not delete any other file than the specified one Close the folder and safely remove the device from your PC

  • The watch usually records sleep only within or slightly outside the set sleep schedule. The usual criticism about Garmin watches is actuall that they do NOT record naps.

Did you set your sleep schedule correctly?

  • No experience with afternoon naps, but if nothing else is possible... why not take off the watch during these if you know it messes up all kinds of crap?

No clue how other brands handle this btw.

Anyway, for me this luckily is a non-issue but yeah, can imagine it's annoying.

(Then again, all stats should be used as general guidelines anyway imo... not to literal)
