Beta 15.09

Now available to download…

  • Same for me. Cannot (re)join the beta program

  • haha, thanks! ;)

Yeah, it became a personal pet-peeve of mine and my go-to "Let's see if it's finally fixed" because it was such a clear and straightforward bug. And something that, while I don't use it THAT often, it IS very handy when needed (holidays, weekends off, generaly away from home).

But I actually missed that bugfix mention somehow! Couldn't be clearer, guess I have my flaws too ;)

  • I think when the last official release went out for 14.20 they unenrolled people from the Beta programs. Maybe with the delivery method changing they wanted people to have to re-opt in for it.

  • The beta doesn't seem to be available to me, even though I've unenrolled and re-enrolled in the beta program (through GC web) multiple times. I've been checking periodically since yesterday.

  • I guess they are not sure what they fixed and what not. So developer A fixing bug A but developer B might break A again while fixing bug B.

  • Is it possible to download and update maps without PC again?

  • LTH auto detection is working again! I just finished my threshold run and everything worked just fine.

  • i couldn't activate the update from the GC app on my iPhone but it did work directly from the watch itself.

i had a few panic moments with my install where it seemed frozen on "Download completed" and the another eternity stuck on another screen (can't recall exact wording but something like Installing update without any progress bar)

no notable bugs, but still see things that need to be fixed

    - long touch on CIQ watch faces doesn't launch glances (it does work on stock face)

    - at least for me, accent color on stock watch face (analog/digital) changes color of both hours and minutes

    - long touch on map does nothing (this was broken recently too for the Fenix7/Epix2)

    - double tap zoom on maps doesn't work

  • And halleluja! Navigation to saved location is fixed! (Strange that this is not mentioned in the changelog, but happy this is finally working again!)

    Isn't it mentioned?

    • Fixes an issue where the device could fail to route to a saved location with an error about missing routable roads.
  • There is a new animation when opening the glances, no? And also the Sunrise/sunset Glance is new. And I feel the animation when switching 3rd party watch faces is also little bit less jittery.
