[Fixed] I have become totally disappointed with Garmin because of the ridiculous, long-lasting, and easy-to-resolve 'Route calculation Error' Bug! I want to refund this watch.

Yeah, very frustrating....

But apparently there is a beta coming 'soon' that should fix this and many other things, without any concrete ideas what soon is btw and for the FR955 that could also be next month or so.

It's clear that the FR955 is very low on Garmin's priority list and I will be sure to make people aware of this when they ask about the watch.

It's a shame, and wasted potential for what could be an awesome watch but instead is an experience with a very bad taste in my mouth for a year already.

You are one of the most active and informed. Do you really think there will ever be a firmware that will fix all the 955's problems? I do not think so. And then, as you have seen in recent months, every time they release a new version, they only solve one problem and cause many others. The 965 will be even worse than the 955. 

So, which watch (of Garmin) would be an alternative? 

just take a look at the forums of the various forerunners and ls will give you the answer for yourself.

This has been fixed in the latest 15.xx beta versions. You can either wait for the full release in a week or two, or join the beta program and have the fix now. 15.12 is a huge improvement over 14.xx.

It has been 3 months, I hope I won't become a giraffe :D
