Battery saver starts even if it is turned off

I have this setting set a long time ago:

Settings / Power Manager / Battery saver / Status: Off (14 Days)

and battery indicator today shows 90%.

Still, my watch beeped and displayed a 30-second countdown to start the saver.

Is that a bug? Has this happened to you?

The watch sw version is 14.20.

  • wild guess: are you sure it wasn't something like "power save" displayed with a 30 second countdown. if you have accidentally jumped to the activity menu or activity, you may inadvertently get this message after being inactive for a while. i've seen this sort of message myself, but it's not the battery saver mode, but a power saving mode so that you aren't draining the battery with your GPS running.

  • It was probably the power saver. That's entirely possible. But it happened to me when I was sitting at my laptop and not doing anything with my watch. I'll keep an eye on it and write when it happens again.

  • I was having the same issue.  I had just gotten back from a walk, ended the activity and exited.  Was at the watch face, fast forward about 5-10 minutes, I’m making a smoothie and next thing I know my watch vibrates and it’s the power saver mode count down.  I hit the back button and somehow it’s on the run watchface as though I started a run.  So either I bumped the start button and accidentally started a run(doubt it). Or when I exited and saved my run it glitched out and kept trying to return to that run page.
