Primary Race Function

I am trying to setup a Triathlon as my primary race in my FR955. Is this not supported? When creating the event I am not allowed to set a goal to mark it as a primary race. I am intending to do a marathon at the end of the year as well and when I created that running event it allowed me to set it as a primary event with a goal.

Are multisport events not yet supported for the primary race function?

    Primary race worked for me last year for running event in December. But this year my Primary is MTB and unless you I can add it to calendar but its not showng on  955 as primary (no event). Its on 955 in my event Calender. Making an earlier RoadBike race my primary does not change. No idea if Primary on 955 only works for run?

    I remember reading somewhere (think it was DC Rainmaker) that Triathlons are not supported for Primary Race. No idea why.

    Yeah it appears this is the case. Thanks for the lead on DC Rainmaker, just read this in his in depth 955 review.

    But it does not explain the problems for Mountain and Roadrace that do not seem to show as Primary.  Even the 955 says I should enter a bike event (I did and made it primary).  But still no Event message. If I make a run my primary it appears on the watch correctly. Does a bike event work for others as primary?

    I think that for now the primary race function will only work with running and limited cycling events. According to Ray it appears that in the future they may offer this function for creating training plans to other activities, but unless you create a strictly running event (and limited cycling events) it will not work with the primary race function. I don't think the watch can handle preparing a training plan for three different sports all while using the algorithms of your training readiness to suggest workouts.

    Other than  DC Rainmaker writes at least for me when I tried 4 different Cycling events set as Primary in Calendar neither appeared as Primary on watch.  Seems running only for now. Not sure which limited cycling might work for the Primary to be visible on watch.

    But agree with DCR that there is at least some limited training "plan" also for cycling.

     Cant check if it changes if I change my primary. (Plan is bit strange anyhow due to the other challenges with 955 in combination  with Edge 530 and Zwift - a rare combi :-)
