There is a bug with navigating to POI and Saved Locations being worked on by Garmin.
Here is how you can work around it while an update to fix the issue comes around.
Fortunately, one navigation mode that still works very well is the navigation to a point on the map. The minor down side is that you have to manually locate it on the map: you can’t search for it.
But here's a trick: before going to the map, go to Navigation-Point of Interest, look for your desired POI, select it and Save Location. That will allow you to quickly visually locate it on the map in the next step.
Then, go back to Navigation-Use map. From there zoom out until you see thé previously save location icon. Then zoom in/pan to that point and finally long press the start button and choose the Go menu option to navigate to the previously inaccessible location!
