SOLVED: Map issue with forerunner 955

It needs GPS. It does not calculate without GPS signal. It should be saying something else than "Calculating" when it's waiting for GPS.

But otherwise, this post is so much full or stuff and I don't even seem to find what was your problem (just the problem you were having, ok, we all should know it?). And maybe it would also have helped to specify how did you reset the default settings, but I take it's this:
