i hope i can open a discussion here because i feel ignorant as to what we can currently do using touch on the maps for the 955.
based on my discussions, i'm puzzled about several things:
- DCrainmaker suggested that the double-tap to zoom functionality was added to the 955 this autumn, yet if it was, then i've all along misinterpreted what it was supposed to do. when i'm using maps on my 955 now, a single tap will bring up the +/- zoom buttons. i had long assumed that a double tap would zoom in (ie, +) but a double tap does nothing for me and my watch.
- i had also thought that if i did a long press, i should bring up the menu which would allow me to navigate to a point on the map. i thought that had finally been fixed in the recent firmwares, but i may have misunderstood what had been fixed and not in recent iterations. my current question is more fundamental: should anything happen if i "long press" on the screen a a cursor location?
thanks in advance for anyone willing to clarify what is possible and not possible right now with maps.
(my +/- zoom buttons do work and dragging to zoom work but i'm a bit lost on any other functionality)
