Garmin, aren't you going to work? Fix the problem or give me a solution.

955's firmware is rubbish and there are so many problems.
The heart rate is so inaccurate that it's no longer meaningful to wear a watch, and what are you doing when you're showing this inaccurate heart rate when you're active? I checked the phone notification on my smartphone, but it kept ringing. It's been a few days, but I haven't heard from you. If you can't solve it, recall the 955 series or find a way!

Mine has perfect HR and no problems with notifications

Mine 955 Solar has also correct HR, but sometimes i need to reboot the watch for the correct HR.

Likewise - notifications perfect and OHR and strap based HR is fine

Mine is also ok for both notifications and HR. Get yours replaced!

For me also HR and notifications are both fine. Only when it's below freezing my skin ist not working with the optical sensor

hey people, don't be so quick to dismiss things just because you are not experiencing them. one of the big msyteries of the 955 is that its software is not only incredibly buggy but it is highly inconsistent between seemingly similar uses.

i've personally had a number of obvious bugs that many others have not experienced. i'm on my 3rd 955 now and still getting these bugs so can confidently say it is not a hardware issue, yet i am not doing anything unusual or using anything non-standard in terms of settings.

i have not myself seen any of the specific issues the OP mentions but have seen enough of my own to agree with the general premise. garmin have really made a mess of their software and are showing no sign of being able to work it out.

to the OP: while it might well be a bug, some people do have poor results from wrist OHR, you might be one of the unfortunate few. make sure the strap is tight and watch is positioned above the wrist joint. maybe you can get garmin to give you a free HR strap if OHR won't work for you? garmin support can be pretty slow to respond - not surprising when their devices have so many bugs, they must be busy!

and to 4099129, having to reboot your watch to get basic functionality to work is not normal or acceptable.

Issue with OHR it IS just user dependent...

OHR used to work great for me, but since the 945 it's just not reliable enough anymore. Skin type, tattoos, skin thickness, exactly where you wear it on your wrist, how tight, etc all have an effect. So in case of OHR it's a bit inherent to the technique (but also a matter of balance between battery life and everything I guess).

Other very obvious and easily reproducable bugs by ANYONE (*cough* navigation to a saved location *cough*) SHOULD be fixed fairly easily and qucikly though.
