Newly purchased 955 never locks GPS signal.

All actualization done via PC. Waiting for GPS long time (until Run activity switched back to normal watch) GPS never switched from red to green even not during the 15 min activity...

If you can't connect to it from the smartphone app, you'll need to leave it in GPS reception mode with a clear view of the sky for about 15 minutes without moving, so that it can update its ephemera tables…

If you can't connect to it from the smartphone app, you'll need to leave it in GPS reception mode with a clear view of the sky for about 15 minutes without moving, so that it can update its ephemera tables from the slow data stream broadcast by the satellites.

The smartphone app downloads localized information to speed up the GPS lock, which then normally takes about 5-15 seconds.

On top of this, starting the activity before getting a GPS lock makes it much harder for the device to complete the process.
