HRV has suddenly gone from a baseline of about 35-45 to now having nightly averages around 60. Respiration has also gone from a steady 13 breaths per minute to around 20. There is no change in performance, sleep or health.

Respiration and HRV both depend on the heart rate sensor. How well is the watch fitting at bedtime? You should be able to squeeze a single finger underneath the strap, but only just.
My HRV is as expected with the current firmware. A good night's sleep gets 48ms, a poor one 39ms, with overnight respiration averaging a steady 14/minute.
That’s what I thought as well. I have a Velcro strap and can only just squeeze a finger under the wrist side. I’ll try a bit tighter tonight and see if it helps
So I still have the same issue even with a very tight strap. HRV and respiration both erratic after upgrade to 14.17. They were nice an stable every night beforehand.
Thanks, that seems better. I've tried a health snapshot and the results look more within the right ballpark. I'll see how it goes to tonight and set as the answer if it works.
That did the trick. Thanks!
