Of course DC Rainmaker already has his "review" out.
Lol, "updating feelings" should be the last feelings you should have after how garmin treated its paying customers with the FR955/255.…
Having a metal bezel might affect the GPS accuracy.
I think I prefer the always-on MIP display.
(Just watching Dave from Chase the Summit's review.)
My logic assumption is, that FR 255/265/955/965 will share the same firmwares, just with certain features disabled in software, if applicable. Similarly like at Fenix 7/Tactix 7 / Epix Gen 2. FR955 has…

That means identical behavior, identical bugs. Unfortunately.
...and the same errors.
1. Map manager bug
2. LHT automatic update bug.
3. inability to navigate to a saved point and a number of other errors.
Ray's review is also out: https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2023/03/garmin-forerunner-965-in-depth-review.html
Feels like it's just the AMOLED. Not really giving me any "I should be updating feelings".
It's not as fully featured as some sites were leaking early on. No ECG function, and no speaker/microphone either (something I would expect from an AMOLED smartwatch). In terms of 955/965 comparison, there's not much difference (price the same, features pretty much identical). It's mostly just AMOLED, slightly better materials (metal bezel), and thinner as well (albeit slightly wider as a tradeoff). Maps look better too, and 965 also gets native vertical oscillation (although it's probably coming to the 955 soon as well).
No idea how the 965 gets such good smartwatch battery life. I imagine Garmin's testing settings for battery have the screen off most of the time.
