battery life

for the first time in 8 months, my battery drains faster. It all started yesterday after loading the watch from my laptop and updating the maps of the european continent. Anyone else having the same problem?

My watch with version 14.17 drains faster than any previous software version. I do not have any additional maps installed (standard Garmin configuration).

sorry to hear about your woes. for me, 14.15 and 14.17 brought me back to battery life similar to FW12 which to me is quite good. even with a data rich watch face like Big Easy, i've settled into just under 7%/day for smart watch use, even with the occasional unexplained 2-3% drop over a couple hours that happens about once a week.

My watch is at 41% and it was updated almost two weeks ago to 14.15 and then later 14.17 (6 days ago- without a re-recharge, udate was done using Connecdt Mobile on Iphone - And I am still at 41%

I was praising battery life on 14.15...it was losing just over 4.5% a day...and then it must have a day when it discharged double that value in a charge cycle. No interaction, no syncing, no connection to anything, just plain watch with quatro face as always - it went from 41% to 32% in 24 hours. Even "charged" it in the sun for 10 minutes, unlike other days. Now I just updated to 14.17 and we shall see.
